The redevelopment of Shuswap Lake General Hospital reached a milestone this week with the relocation of the Ultrasound Department into their new home. This $25 million project has included the construction of an addition on the existing building to support a portion of the expanded Emergency and Diagnostic Imaging departments. With this move, the Diagnostic Imaging department is fully operational in its new, permanent location.

Shanghai code approval opens up market to Canadian wood.

Shanghai’s approval of a new wood-frame building code is a major step forward in the growing demand for Canadian wood products in China, the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, and British Columbia’s Forests and Range Minister Pat Bell announced today.
