Revelstoke – man charged with pointing a firearm.
Revelstoke RCMP.
A Revelstoke man faces charges of break and enter, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace after an incident that took place on January 8, 2010.
At approx. 3:00 p.m. a couple returned to their residence in the 1600 block of Bend Road to find a broken window. When they went inside to investigate they were confronted by a man brandishing a rifle. A struggle ensued and the suspect left the residence. Officers located the suspect a distance away from the residence where he was arrested without incident. A search of the area located a Winchester Model 670 30-06 rifle.
Gary Joseph Morris, aged 30, appeared in Salmon Arm Provincial Court on January 11th to answer to the charges. He was ordered held in custody until February 3rd when the matter will be heard in Revelstoke Provincial Court.
