Cuts to seniors funding

Tell me again why I should have the Olympic spirit?!?!? The subsidy cuts that Gordon Campbell has made to seniors has put many folks who built this Province into the poor house.

My 82-year old cousin has been told she has to pay an additional $350/month if she wishes to stay in the assisted living facility. This will eat up every last penny of her income! This woman, who has lived in the same community for 40+ years, is now forced to move away from her doctors, her familiar surroundings and her friends. This is strictly due to the fact that Campbell has chosen to saddle the Province with skyrocketing Olympic costs. However, she is one of the lucky ones … she has a son who has come to her aid —- although it means her relocating from Salmon Arm to Alberta. What of those poor souls who do not have family who can come to their rescue?

Shame on you Gordon Campbell! There will be no Olympic spirit in my household!
