Aaron Cadwaladr performs Shape Changing Sky
Nov 10, Salmon Arm –
The Old Dog Pub, 551 Trans-Canada Hwy N.E., will be hosting a concert by Aaron Cadwaladr and his Band on Tuesday, November 10th at 8pm. Mark the date on your calendar because this is a really special event! The concert is part of a BC Tour in celebration of the release of his first full-length CD, “Wade Through The Dark”.
Aaron was born on Salt Spring Island and lived in both northern rural Vancouver and then Vancouver while growing up, and he has moved between the city and the country ever since. This experience has given his music a unique perspective. You might call it progressively alternative folk-rock.
Aaron graduated from Malaspina College in Nanaimo where he majored in Jazz Studies and has since become a professional free-lance guitarist as well as a teacher of guitar. His live shows are a venue for his rich voice, his poetically compelling lyrics and his eclectic, roots-folk based influences. He is definitely up and coming.
His first recorded EP called “Shape Changing Sky” (see video) was recorded in 2007.
Aaron performs the vocals and guitar in the group, Cornell St. Jean plays bass, Nathan Shubert, piano, accordion, mandolin and glockenspiel and James Mcrae, drums.
Tickets are $5 at the door.
