Company Jump is a modern imitation of the Andrews Sisters of the 1940s.
Nov 13, Salmon Arm –
The Salmar Classic Theatre is going to rock to the roof at 7:30pm on Friday the 13th – of November, that is!
Company Jump is coming to town. This comedic musical theatre production is a tribute to the Andrews Sisters of 1940’s fame, complete with the harmonies, the costumes, the dancing and the all round good fun of the era. Do you remember the swingin’ tunes like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”? How about “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree” or “Accentuate The Positive”? You’ll soon find your toes tapping right along with the music.
The younger generation will wonder who the Andrews Sisters were back in the olden days. Well, those three talented ladies managed to bring a smile to the faces of the allied troops all during World War II and we’ll never forget their classic style that shaped much of the popular music for a couple of decades.
Company Jump is performed by another group of three talented ladies, Nadine Tremblay of Rossland, who also wrote and produced the show, Andrea Isaak and Marie West. They have been singing together for more than five years and performing this hop, skip and a jump down memory lane for three.
The audience is encouraged to be as loud and boisterous as those G.I.s were when the Andrews Sisters performed for the troops. This is a real family affair and perhaps a chance to bring some of the spirit of the era to the young generation.
